Dr. Lufrano was kind, empathetic, reassuring, and a woman of action! While other GIs have dismissed my suffering as a functional problem and not a (known) disease process, Dr. Lufrano didn’t. I have tried many self care treatments based on my ow research. Recently, another doctor implied that I wasn’t trying hard enough and/or I wasn’t telling the truth about following through on recommendations. She said, with an arched brow, try it again for longer. I had literally already been “trying” for 5 months at that point. Frustrated, I looked for a GI that is a DO and hoped this combination might mean a healthcare practitioner who cares about the whole person. I feel confident that I found such a person and at least a measure of relief might finally be around the corner.

It would be more of a convenience if this office offered televisits. I shouldn’t always have to take off from work just to get results. All my other doctors do.
